About Callie
Colby - was now 3 years old. Our family has always envisioned and dreamt of the day when we could have yet another Wire-fox Terrier (WFT) added that would complete our family. Intuitively, we felt within our 'Heart of Hearts' this time was now! We felt it was appropriate to introduce a new canine family member 'into the pack'.
Why was this the right time? Colby was now entrenched, well established, and more importantly obedient and trained - we felt he was now ready for the change and perhaps the challenge of accepting a new canine into the family dynamics. The time was indeed right for exploration and consultation.
After consulting with reputable and knowledgeable breeders both local and abroad regarding the logistics of another WFT male verse female - we got our answers. Definitively - not another male, too much testosterone there is a need for some estrogen in the mix for 'balance'. Fighting for dominance between two males, most certainly would be problematic. Message received - loud and clear!
The question(s) explored, the results were informed, and the choice was now very clear – a female it is! After, consulting with the reputable breeders, we knew exactly where/and with whom we wanted to engage to bring our vision of a multiple wire family into reality. The truth of the matter is – you just know when it is right, one should never deny their ‘best intuition’! We engaged, dealt with, and agreed with the chosen breeder. A deal was struck – and she (Callie) would be coming to our family June 30, 2008. We excitedly awaited her arrival.
Ultimately, pictures say more than words. Please enjoy the photos we were sent of Callie's first moments of life in this great big world.
